- When the School create an account for you in our Websites
- You import information from third-party websites and sources, such as social media sites
- When the School transfer information from student information systems, or other institutional systems, into our Websites

- Request assistance from our help desk
- Provide us with feedback on our Services
We collect the following information you provide in connection with our Services:
- We collect information such as full name and email address when a user creates an account for our Services; sign up for our mailing list; complete a user profile; or otherwise communicate or interact with us.
- We collect information from Schools, such as school name, district, teacher or authorized administrator title, organizational units associated with the School, course information and topics, grade levels taught, course work and assignments, course sections, student rosters and students’ records including personal information about the School’s students such as name, email address, age, ethnicity, gender, school name, courses and topics of study, assignments and content (e.g., homework), grades, and class attendance. The School may also provide the name and contact information about the students’ parents or legal guardians.
- When you contact us directly (e.g., by email, phone, mail or by completing an online form or participating in online chat), we may record your comments and opinions. We may also record comments and opinions you express when responding to surveys.
- Information, including personal information, from and about your device, such as: IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, platform type, device type, operating system, date and time stamp, geographical location data, a unique ID that allows us to uniquely identify your browser, mobile device or your account, and other such information.

Where permitted, we may also share your information with relevant parties associated with the School, such as educators, fellow students, parents of students using our Services or users who are authorized to use our Services on behalf of the School.
Aggregated Information
We may generate, use and disclose de-identified information (information from which all personally identifiable information has been removed or obscured so that the remaining information does not reasonably identify an individual and there is no reasonable basis to believe that the information can be used to identify an individual.) for any purpose without limitations. Purposes may include:
- Adaptive learning purposes or customized student learning purposes, to recommend content or services relating to the School purposes or other educational or employment purposes, as well as for development, research and improvement of our Services including through the development and improvement of our models and algorithms.
- Development and improvement of other educational sites, services and applications or technologies more generally to the extent permitted under applicable law.
- Display aggregate summaries of de-identified information publicly or to our customers. Such as displaying analytics or reports at the district, school, grade-level and/or on the basis of specific demographic or educational groups as long as it does not contain individual-level information and cannot reasonably be used to identify any individual student or School, even if such information is combined with data or information maintained by the School or third-party data sources.
Your Control over Information
You have several ways to control your information including:
- You may update your account information and may change some of your account controls and data sharing preferences by visiting your “Account Settings” page or by emailing us at support@baytelm.com
- You may disconnect your account from a third party site at any time by visiting the “Account Settings” page to remove authenticated sites and services.
- You can stop receiving promotional email communications from Baytelm by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” provided in such communications.
- If you have any questions about modifying your information, or if you want to remove your name or comments from our Service or publicly displayed content, you can contact us directly at support@baytelm.com. We may not be able to modify your information in all circumstances.
Data Retention Clause
Personal information no longer held under contractual terms shall be disposed of accordingly within a reasonable time frame or as the law demands. Pursuant to the cancellation of any contractual agreement, you will lose access to the data we have collected and stored from your use of our Services.

Baytelm collects and uses student information at the direction of and under the control of a School. Therefore, we rely on our Schools to provide appropriate notice to parents of the School’s use of Baytelm Services, and for the Schools to provide consent, if necessary, and authorization for Baytelm to collect student information as permitted under applicable laws.
If you are under the age of 13, please do not use our Websites or Services or otherwise provide us with any personal information either directly or by other means. If a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us, we encourage the child’s parent or guardian to contact us at support@Baytelm.com to request that we remove the personal information from our systems. If we learn that any personal information we collect has been provided by a child under the age of 13, we will promptly delete that personal information.

Our Websites may contain links to third-party websites or services that allow you to go to another website when you click on such a link.
